The Society of American Friends of the Chinese People gave its support today to the national conference which advocates raising the US. embargo on arms destined for Republican Spain.
The national conference is to begin in Washington on January 9 under Re: the auspices of the "Medical Bureau Mate for Spanish Democracy." note of The Society made known its decision in a letter addressed by its} Vice-President, Julius Loeb, to the Medical Bureau. This letter re-cleanse the marked upon the "similarity of Japan's invasion of China and the; rebellion of the Franquists," and added, "The Chinese people have been inspired by the efforts of the Spanish people in their fight for the defence of, world democracy."—Havas.
