Berlin, Feb. 21.
Germany has plenty of bread to supply her needs for the current year, with substantial resources available for the following year, an official announcement said today.
Bread and grain stores on January 31, the announcement said, amounted approximately 10,000,000 tons which is 4,400,000 tons higher than a year ago, according to the figures of the Reich Statistical Bureau. Of this total, 5,400,000 tons were still in farmers' barns, the announcement said.
The report was regarded as confirmation of rumours that Germany was building up large food supplies, vital in time of war.—United Press.
