BERLIN BOURSE

Berlin, Jan. 25.

Business was exceedingly quiet on the share market to-day, price movements not being uniform. This condition was due to the approach of the end of month settlement which will possibly cause more difficulty than usual of late seeing that much of the liquid money heretofore available will have been removed from the market by the issue this month of the new 4% per cent. Reichs loan. Another factor that influences bank customers at this time of the year is the approaching announcement of decisions of leading companies as to the dividends that will be declared for trading during 1937. The Berliner Handelsgesellschaft, AEG, Siemens Halske are all expected to make such a declaration in the next few days.

Minings were regular, lignites friendly, potashes firm, German Dye Trust weaker, electrics better.

On the fixed interest securities market the turnover was also smaller than usual. Gold mortgage bonds were in many cases firmer. Loans quotations increased by a shade. In city loans Koenigsberg 1929 rose 3/9 but Koenigsberf 1928 were % lower. In industrial bonds German Dye Trusts weakened 14 to 130%, Siemens Halske stood unchanged at 188:

Call money stood at 2% to 2% per cent.—Trans-Ocean.
