The Swedish Association in China held its annual meeting at the French Club on January 28 to 630 p.m. The Committees report for the past year was read and a vote of thanks was given to the resigning Committee. The following Committee was elected for the year 1938: Messrs. B, Bringert, Chairman; E, Edwards, v. Chairman; S. Blom, Secretary; H. Stromwall Treasurer and B. Sabelstrom, After the elections various topics of interest to the Association were discussed and the meeting concluded in time for the annual dinner which followed, Speeches were made by several of those present, among others by the nemty elected and by the resigning chairmen as well as by the Swedish Minister to China, Baron Johan Beck-Friis, After dinner a travel flm in natural colours from Sweden was shown, This film had been kindly loaned to the Association by Messrs. Warner Bros, Members of the Norwegian Association and the ladies of the members of the Swedish Associa-n had also been invited to attend the showing of the film, The evening was concluded with dancing,
