Berlin, Jan. 28.
The German authorities have ordered an immediate investigation of the circumstances under which the famous racing motorist Bernd Rose-meyer was killed.
Motor racing circles believe that the fatal accident was not caused by any material defect but was solely attributable to unfavourable wind conditions.
After the first trial run, during which a speed of over 420 kilometres per hour had been attained, Rose-meyer had stated that the strong southwest wind had nearly thrown him out of the track. He persisted, however, on starting off on a second trial run, which then ended in the tragic disaster.
