Economic Conditions in Kweichow In his summary of economic conditions in Kweichow, Mr. H. C. Yang says—the province of—Kweichow situated far out in the frontier region, is handicapped in many Ways as far as economic reconstruction is concerned. First, the poor system of communications should be remedied. Secondly, efforts must be directed towards improvement of forestation and agriculture in which it lags far behind. Then, thirdly, there must be some social work to relieve the impoverished populace.
