These exports included; 703,000 bales to Japan 40,000 bales to China Proper, 900 bales to Manchoukuo and Dairen, 16,200 bales to French Indo-China, 387,000 bales to Great Britain and 3,000 bales to Germany. in United States ports and towns were estimated at 429,000 bales, representing a contract on of 85,000 bales compared with last week, and of 112,000 bales compared with the corresponding period of last year.
The world's visible supply was placed at 8872000 bales, compared with 9,030,000 bales during the previous week and 9,227,000 bales during e same week in 1938. American contributions amounted to 6,472,000 bales.
