From the kick-off the Portuguese were quick to settle down. The forward line worked well together and frequently caught the School defence spread-eagled. Some ten minutes after the start Rozario, combining with Souza, carried the leather upfield and after eluding the full-backs crashed in a grounder from fifteen yards out to upset the goalie Less than) five minutes later the Clube attack again brought results. Souza, having received a pass from H. Collaco, the key man in the front row, was tackled by Logan, who badly mis kicked the ball in an attempt to clear. The centre-forward dashed towards the goal and had Schneirson beaten.
Thing looked bad for the yftimate winners, who were pinned Ñ their rear lines. The School goal was saved twice. Logan was the first to prevent a certain one when he tackled Rozario in the nick of time in the goal-mouth and later on Schneirson
grounder. dived at Souza's feet to stop a hard Late in the half Cochran was fouled by Costa within the back area, The School centre-forward took the 12- yard kick and easily converted. A few minutes later, Kidby tried a shot across the goal-mouth. Souza pushed it aside but the leather hit the post and bounced back for Cochran to tie the score at 2-all.
After the rest period the School team took a new lease on life. The Portuguese territory was swarmed with raiders and most of the play in that remaining period was confined to the Clube side. Cochran starred in his üne shooting, netting three in a row to win comfortably.
