H.M.S. Ajax to Visit Montevideo

H.M.S. Ajax, flying the flay of Rear-Admiral Harwood, commander of the British cruisers that chased the German pocket-battleship Admiral Graf Spee into Montevideo, will shortly pay a courtesy visit to Montevideo if the consent of the Uruguayan Government is forthcoming. The statement that H.M.S. Ajax is visiting Montevideo to repair damage suffered in the action with the Admiral Graf Spee is devoid of truth, according to an authoritative announcement in London.

Survivors from the trawler Barbara Robertson, sunk by a U-boat off the north of Scotland, arrived at Fleetwood yesterday. One life was lost when the vessel was sunk, the rest of the crew being picked up by a warship after twelve hours in a lifeboat, which was sighted by a seaplane.
