London, Apr. 24.
Political circles here consider that the sudden return to Berlin of the British Ambassador, Sir Nevile Henderson, is motivated by a British demarche to the German Government. It is believed that Sir Nevüe will either announce to Berlin the establishment of compulsory military training in Great Britain or the conclusion of an Anglo-Soviet accord.
In regard to the latter point, authoritative quarters declare that no changes have occurred in the negotiations between the two countries. Great Britain is insisting that Soviet Russia promise to help to the fullest extent the eventual victims of aggression, while Soviet Russia requests an automatic mutual agreement.—Havas.
