Move Criticized

London, Apr. 24.

The return to Berlin of Sir Nevile Handerson, British Ambassador to Germany, was greatly regretted by the "News-Chronicle" in an editorial today.

"His presence there can serve no useful purpose at this stage," the journal said. "He should not have returned until the strain of friendly relations caused by the seizure of Czechoslovakia was removed and there was some action on the part of Germany giving concrete proof that she henceforth would be prepared to recognize the rights of other countries. The United States has not returned her Ambassador. Why should Britain hurry? It would be far better if the Democracies kept in step.—United Press.
