Chief of the Concession Fire Brigade, sustained serious injuries to his right wrist during a fire which broke out in house 408, Lane 1, Boulevard de Montigny shortly after 1 p.m. yesterday. He was rushed to the St. Marie Hospital where he received first-aid treatment, but was permitted to return to his home. His injuries will prevent him from atend-ing his duties for the next few weeks, it was understood.
The accident occurred when a wall of the flaming building crashed just as Mr. De Blecker was passing underneath.
