London Notes Expediency

London, Apr. 23.

The communique issued today on the talks in Venice between Count Ciano, the Italian Foreign Minister, and M. Alexander Markovitch, the Yugoslav Foreign Minister, writes Reuter's Diplomatic Correspondent, has been noted in London as further indication of the line of friendship which is being developed between Yugoslavia and Italy. According to foreign observers, he adds, Yugoslavia's attitude is governed by the considerations that the Axis pressure is: stronger than the promises from countries further afeld and Italy's interest in the Adriatic. The general antipathy of the Yugoslav people to the Axis is also stressed.—Reuter.
