[Body for Peace New National Defence Group Formally Inaugurated Kiukiang, Feb. 12.
Peace between Japan and China was stressed at the inaugural meeting of the newly-organized Kiukiang Asia Development Women's Association yesterday by leaders of the organization.
About 170 women attended ceremonies yesterday morning. Representatives of the Japanese National Defence Women's Association of Kiukiang also attended.
In response to addresses made by the leaders of the new Chinese women's organization, Mrs. K. Komori, wife of the Japanese Consul here, declared that Japanese women also desired that every effort be made to establish peace in East Asia. Cooperation with the Chinese association was promised by Mrs. Komori Mrs. Chu Wen-chao, wife of the chief of the guards of the Kiukiang District Government, is president of the new association.—Domei.
