Miss Slavina-Brown was confronted with a more difficult task for her eight numbers were all dances of North Asiatic origin, most of them being Japanese and Korean in style. But to her credit it must be said that her knowledge of the plastic art was high indeed and although perhaps she utilized her gorgeous costuming to full use, her miming of the characters she was portraying was excellent, Her "Woman With a Cat," from the Japanese, and "Mother and Child," a variation on the Asiatic theme, were exquisitely rendered and if at times one really thought she was a Japanese lady going through the numerous movements connected with the dance, then it was solely due to her brilliant interpretation of the roles she was enacting.
The music for the Korean and Japanese dances was orchestrated and arranged by Mr. Gregory Singer with Mr. Avshalomoff conducting. while a Chinese orchestra from the Crystal Theatre accompanied Miss Slavma-Brown in her Chinese dances.
