After having Qnished the diseussions on trade this morning, the British and Trish delegations met again this afternoon and the conversations were terminated at 405, Pam. The question of defence was understood to have been one of the principal subjects reviewed.
Immediately after the conference, oficial communique was issued, which said:
At the meetings held this morning and this afternoon between the re= presentatives of the Governments of Eire and of the United Kingdom, further consideration was given matters arising out of the question: already discussed.
"While no agreement has yet been reached upon any_of these questions, which are closely Connected with one another, it is felt that the discussions have proceeded far enough to Justify amore detailed examination, on a number of points, by officials by the respective Governments.
"This examination will proceed forthwith, and, pending its comple-ton, the' meetings of the Ministers will' be suspended to be resumed as soon as the necessary data are. able for further conversations
