Confidence in Better Future Expressed London, May 24.
Despite the catastrophe our people has had to suffer, my cónfidence in the future remains unshaken, declared Queen Wilhelmina of Holland in a moving message which she broadcast to the Netherlands East Indies this morning.
"In the past," she said, "our people had gone through great trials which its trust in God and love of liberty had always been able to overcome. I wish to tell you not to despair during these dark days. Neither my people nor my Ministers nor I myself have hesitated one moment to follow the course of duty, and we shall thus continue calmly and courageously trusting in the justice of our: cause. We shall know how to surmount all vi situdes of the moment because we follow a determined line and a great principle worthy of a strong and proud people which cannot but resist injustice."—Reuter.
