Power is the main cost item in the manufacture of Crystal Ice, and as the recent increase in the price of electricity brings the charge for current per kilowatt-hour up to fully three times what it was a year ago, we have been forced to raise, as from June 1, 1940, the retail delivered price of our Machine-Made Crystal Ice to 2% cents per lb.
