Branded "Ridiculous"
Ottawa, Apr, 7.
The Canadian Government "in utmost secrecy and feverish haste" has dismantled guns protecting the Halifax Harbour and transferred them to the Pacific coast, an article appearing in a Halifax paper said today. The article was written by Mr. H, C. Green, Conservative member of Parliament from Vancouver-South.
The guns were transferred to Canada's western coast "to protect British Columbia and the constituents of Ian McKenzie (Liberal of Van-sauver-Centre) against the Yellow Peril," Mr. Green declared.
Following the appearance of Mr, Green's article, Mr. McKenzie, who is, Minister of Defence, threatened to invoke the stringent War Secrets Act against the newspaper for publishing "scurrilous articles" on the Dominion's defence policies. Mr, McKenzie branded Mr. Green's allegations as "the most ridiculous in the world."—United Press,
