Italy Welcomes Czech Offer

Rome, Sept. 8.

The new Czech proposals would appear to meet a great part of the German points laid down at Karlsbad by Herr Konrad Henlein, declares Signor Virgino Gayda, considered the mouthpiece of Signor Benito Mussolini in an article today in the "Giornale d'Italia."

What was described up to yesterday as a critical and obscure moment for Europe, he adds, is already clearing up, although very gradually.

The note of relief underlying Signor Gayda's article is welcomed in Rome.—Reuter.
