Hongkew Market Stalls

Re-allocated With space split almost equally between Japanese and Chinese stall re-allocation of "territory" in Hongkew Market has been completed, the Shanghai "Nippo" reported yesterday. The Japanese occupy the western wing bounded by Boone and Hanbury Roads, while the Chinese stalls face on Miller Road.

The Japanese section has been broken: up into seven parts, each "Department" handling a specialized line of goods. This was done, the daily said, to facilitate supervision roth from a hygienic and antiprofiteering point of view.
