Cordon Rouge Favoured to Win Seventh Race; First

Saddling Bell at, 11.30

By "Cuno"

Racing today starts at 11.30 am. The day's programme includes a steeplechase and eleven races on the flat, one of which is a handicap at 134 mile open to the best ponies, and though the fields in many of the races may not be big ones, good and interesting racing is expected.

The first two races are at 1⁄4 mile to be run in sections "A" and "B" open to griffins that as yet have not won a race, and here White Birthday and Milkylight may both prove winners if in different sections, with the former my choice if they have to meet i the? same section.

The third race is a seller ana this may give Crimsonlight the opportunity of changing ownership when the winner comes under the auctioneer's care. The fourth race is the steeplechase and will be run immediately after the tifün interval, which should be about 146. Only nine ponies entered and I doubt if even six of them will stárt—Mighty-light should win.

The fifth race is for what may be classed as the Autumn Griffins, with winners barred. Distance is % mile and this should suit Sandy, who I look upon as the most likely one to win, The sixth race, at 1% mile, for Second Class ponies, looks fairly open, though Un Un Un may carry his 5 Ib. extra and be the winner.
