Mr, Clark's aim(in writing these books is to show the reader just how long he can remain and just how much he can see of any country for a total outlay of £10. He puts himself into the capital of the country and begins operations from there, the cost of reaching and returning from the capital not being included in the £10.
Having arrived in Dublin, the £10 tourist is advised by the author to spend at least two days there, leaving about eight days for a glimpse of the rest of the Free State. After leaving Dublin, Mr. Clark's selected tour takes him to every place of note and to many places of which I have never even heard the name. His itinerary includes besides Dublin, Cork, Maryborough, Kilkenny (in-Cidentally there are no more cats here than anywhere else), Goold's Cross, Cashel of the Kings, Limerick, Tipperary, Killarney, Macroom, Glen-tariff, Galway, Mallaranny, Clifden, Leanane, Westport and finally Dublin again, Where else in the world can be found a galaxy of such glamorous names?—w.v.K.c.
