British Warship Stops Japanese Liner

Hakozaki Maru Searched Near Lisbon

Lisbon, Sept. 6.

Stopped on orders from a British patrol vessel at a point about sixty miles from here, the Nippon Yusen Kaisha liner\Hakozaki Maru, bound from London to Lisbon, was delayed for more than an hour yesterday afternoon when a boarding party from the British warship conducted a sixty-minute inspection of the Japanese liner.

Owing to the interruption of her voyage, the Hakozaki Maru arrived in port late yesterday afternoon.

The liner will sail from Lisbon for Japan, together with another N. VK. liner, Hakone Maru. The Mitsui Bussan Kaisha liner Durban Maru has already left Lisbon.—Domei.
