n, Nov. 30, The British Máni council here has decided to accept Federated Bank of China notes in payment of taxes and bills, beginning tomorrow.
It is believed that this will make the acceptance of the Japanese sponsored notes general throughout Tientsin, as well as in the British 7 Concession.
Institutions with overseas connect. tions, however, will suffer a loss in. exchanging these notes for Chinese currency, which is necessary in order to obtain foreign exchange.
At present the discount in such transactions is four per cent—Reuter.
