British Woman Wins World Record SPECIAL TO THE "N.CD.N.""

Wallasey, Cheshire, Dec. 8

Miss Doris Storey broke the world record for the women's 200 yards, breast stroke, yesterday. Her time was two minutes, 42.4 seconds.

The former holder was Hanni Mrs. Moody, who staged a glorious comeback this summer in winning the Wimbledon championship and defeating her most bitter rival, Miss Helen Jacobs, failed to participate in the United States national open singles title series.

She decided not to play im the American championship because she was indisposed and suffered from her back ailment which caused her a few years ago to walk out when playing Miss Jacobs and give her the U.S. title in a match which created a storm of criticism directed at Mrs, Moody.—United Press.
