Brings Keen Rivalry

Before a very large crowd of interested spectators, the final tie of the "Police Gazette" Darts Challenge Cup was played off on Wednesday evening at Carter Road Police Quarters, the Royal Army Medical Corps downing the Royal Army Service Corps by five games to four to become undisputed feathered-arrows champions of Shanghai.

As the final score indicates, the match was fought at a nip-and-tuck pace from start to finish and although the series never reached the high standard observed in previous rounds, the play was most keen and thoroughly enjoyed from both the competitors' and followers' angle. The R.A.SC. experienced difficulty in finding the doubles and this deficiency undoubtedly cost them the title, several games being won by their opponents when they were on the post unable to make the so essential double kill.
