New Anti-British Threat In Tokyo Press

"All Symbols of Britain's Impenalism to Be Obliterated"

Tokyo, Dec. 22, A demand that "all the symbols of British Imperialism should be ob= literated in Asia," is made by the Japanese newspaper—"Kokumin Shimbun" today, in commenting on reports of proposed British or American loans to China.

The paper says that a section of Japanese Government circles tends io regard such proposals as—"demonstrating the impossibility of making, Great Britain and America sympathetically to understand Japan's national aspirations and real intentions, however hard Japan may try to explain them.

"Consequently; the journal adds, "Japan's policy towards East Asia must, henceforth, be carried. out vigorously and forcefully, with the Object of obliterating all symbols of British Imperialism not only in the Far East, but in Asia."—Reuter.
