Prague, July 1
The German Legation yesterday handed to the Czechoslovakian Foreign Office a Note protesting against a "certain song" which, it is alleged, refers in an offensive manner to Herr Hitler.
The Note states that the song is being taught to school children, and is also being sung by soldiers.
It demands a full investigation, and the punishment of those responsible for teaching and spreading the song.
It is understood here that Czech soldiers do not sing such a song, but it is admitted thst "school children had been singing a ridiculous paraphrase of a popular song which would not in ordinary Yeircumstances be taken seriously."—Reuter.
