Doorn, Oct. 18.
The ex-Kaiser has received his ration card for sugar, which cannot be procured without it.
Life proceeds normally at Doorn House, but a large shelter has been constructed in the garden capable of sheltering the whole staff.
The ex-Kaiser reads English and German papers and listens to broadcasts, but keeps his private views of Germany's chances of winning the war io himself.
Twenty-two of his grandsons are fighting with the German forces.—Reuter.
