Regt. U.S. Marine Corps for the great efforts made to assist S.V. training at a time when it mu: have been extremely difficult for them to do so, A special feature of the training this season has been the instruction of all ranks in the elements of constructing sandbag protection and barbed wire obstacles. This is considered most important because although the Field Company erect all works of a semi-permanent nature, n the individual Volunteer never knows when he might have to improvise Protection at short notice.
Eight courses of instruction were completed by December 1. These included, Recruits, Tactical, Officers and N.COs. Instructional' Course, Rifle, Lewis Gun, Browning Automatic Rifle, Vickers Gun and Pistol Courses, The total number of Officers and Volunteers who attended at these Courses was 554.
