Fame Indeed

It any piece of femininity has achieved fame in this world it is surely Shirley Temple, but perhaps even this little lady's publicity agents fail to realize how large is her place in humble Oriental favour.

We were much impressed, during the young Star's recent picture, "Re-bocca of Sunnybrook Farm," with a dress Shirley wore,—a black velvet with insets of white satin—and regretted that our family was too elderly for such a-.model. Walking in Yates Road a few days ago, we'saw a copy of the identical model. There were the attractive widened shoulders, the applique of white satin flowers, the charming skirt with its pleats and insets, and we were quite thrilled. To the- tailor's window came a poor-looking Chinese woman with her little child and said a good dealing Chinese which we did not understand, but we understood her purport perfectly when she pointed to the frock in question and said what sounded like: "Jugga jiggs jigger ya, Shirley Temple" We got it then, and congratulate the tailor who was so" enterprising and efficient.
