Three minutes later the Jocks gave an exciting session of long passing which ended with Thompson taking possession and making a dash for goal, but failed to score. The Jocks again attempted to force the pace and keep the ball in the A.S.F. half, but this move only ended in a long shot from the right wing, which passed over the bar. From the kick back, Adams secured the ball and took it for a long run down his wing but was hard pressed by the ASF. left half who stopped his effort and cleared to mid-field. Some mid-field play followed but from now on, the Jocks showed signs of tiring, and a fine run through by Bossuet at inside left, resulted in a pass to Favacho who successfully shot for goal, and brought the score up to 4-3. Following this success, the A.SF. made a concerted attack, and although they frequently reached their opponents goal, failed to score. The Seaforths defence made some valiant attempts to get the play out of their own territory but the determination of the A.SF. seldom allowed the play to go past mid-field.
