Club Teams Battle to Scoreless Draw on Treacherous Ground at Race Course

ITH the last few days' heavy rain making con ions underfoot most treacherous and, as the game proceeded, the ball extremely difficult to handle with any degree of confidence, the defences of the Club Whites and Colours had no difficulty in subduing*the attacks at the Race Course yesterday afternoon in a close-fought match that eventually finished, after a great deal of interesting play, in a scoreless draw.

Both sides indulged in several bouts of three-quarter passing But, invariably at the critical moment the ball was either dropped due to its greasiness or the player about to take a pass lost his foothold when preparing to go through at speed.
