Trading in the rubber market ruled quiet and narrow, influenced by steady London cables. The trade bought. Business was light. At the last call over, gains of 2 to 4 points were recorded.
Wheat prices in Chicago cary declined on lower cables and liquidation, but later rallied on a firm Winnipeg market, a better mill demand, unfavourable weather reports and some new buying. At the final bell, quotations ranged from down to % of a cent up.
