Commander's Christmas Greetings class is disclosed now that the submarine has returned to harbour.

On December 14, the Ursula arrived at Heligoland, when a number of German patrol vessels were in sight. Through its periscope, the Ursula sighted a cruiser of the Koeln class at the range of about four miles.

The cruiser was screened by six destroyers but the Ursula immediately opened attack. This was not easy owing to the proximity of German patrol craft. In order to reach firing position, the Ursula had to dive beneath the screen of destroyers.

A propeller was clearly heard overhead. The Ursula's captain snatched a quick.look at the cruiser through the periscope and gave the order to fire.
