The Shanghai Volunteer Corps Units had their annual camp at the Rifle Range last week-end. Prominent among them was the Mih-Ho-Loong Hook and Ladder Company ("A" Company to you) which in a few months will be celebrating its 70th year as a defender of Shanghai's liberties. It was enrolled as a military body on July 6, 1870, but actually its connection with the Shanghai Volunteer Corps goes back much further, as the Mih-Ho-Loong Cup, a trophy which has been in the Company's possession since 1864, and which was shot for last week-end, testifies. "The pictures above show "A" Company at the Rifle Range on Saturday and Sunday when, taking advantage of excellent weather, full use of the Range was made on both days.
