Hope of Resurrection

Why should it be considered incredible that God, the Lord and lover of men, should raise the dead? If he indeed be the Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, it would be incredible it he did not. And yet so many people seem to deny the possibility of the Resurrection, They live as though any other life than this were utterly inconceivable. All their time and energy is devoted to the Leayetoriment of body and und with View to getting on in this life, with no time or thought for spiritual things, or preparation for a life beyond the grave. What a sad awakening theirs will be on the day of Resurrection. They will find that all the things they seem to possess here are valueless. Our last shroud has no pockets, and all this world's goods must be left behind. Rather let Us live as those who have a sure and certain hope of a Resurrection to life beyond the grave, and who are conscious of the reality of Christ's Resurrection. Then like Paul, we shall be brave whatever befall. Conscious in life and death, of the presence with us of our Risen Master. And in him, and by his indwelling power, we shall manifest to the world that we have risen with him to a new life,—even as Paul did.
