At the conclusion of the president's speech which dealt to a great extent with the spring and autumn flower shows held at the Race course during the past year, election of officers took place. Sir Allan Mossop was re-elected president of the Society, and the outgoing committee was elected en bloc to serve for another year. Owing to the departure of Sir Herbert Phillips and Dr. E. L. Marsh, however, changes had to be made. No vice-president was elected but Dr. J. H. Jordan was asked to serve on the committee.
'Mrs. W. J. Hawkings was elected chairman of the ladies' committee and Mr. W. J. Kerr will continue to act as hon. secretary, while Mr. W. J. Hawkings will be hon. treasurer for another, year.
