German Prize Court Action

Berlin, Oct. 27.

Germany intends to institute prize court proceedings against the City of Flint, it is indicated in an official statement, which claims that the vessel "is rightly and logoly detained."

Herr Ernst von Weizsaecker, German Foreign Under-Secretary, is stated to have informed the American Ambassador in Berlin that the City of Flint was seized because important papers and charts were missing.

The German official is reported to have said that an expert of the German prize court was going to Mur-mensk, where the American ship is at present detained, and that the German and Soviet Governments were discussing the case, since neither was sure of the proper procedure. He is alleged to have added that the City of Flint was. not interned but only detained in Murmansk.—Reuter.
