The estate turns out an excellent quality of smoked sheet and-no com-Dlaints have been received from the buyers. The supply of labour was ample for all requirements and the health of the force was satisfactory, largely due to the fact that antimalarial measures were regularly enforced. The average daily wages were 45.22 cents as compared with 47 cents last year.
The whole estate is in clean and tidy order and is free from sporadic lallang and other undesirable growths. Weeding cost 15 cents per acre per month as compared with 20 cents last year. Apart from the continued spread of root disease in the old areas neither pests nor diseases gave any trouble. These old areas, however, will be replanted gradually and any diseased patches will be treated in the process.
