Washington, Apr. 4. United States has flatly rejected the German and Italian protests against ship seizures here, The Government has also according to authoritative circles refused the demands fcr release of the ships and crews.
It is understood that the Secretary of State, Mr. Cordell Hull, sent Notes to this effect to the Axi is powers during the night. The Notes are reported to reaffirm vigorously the right of the United States to take the vessels into custody.
