Victim of Gambling Chinese press reports revealed recently that Kuo could have lived a happy married life had he not been indulged in gambling, which caused him to lose his job in the printing shop owned by a relative. He was said to have misappropriated a large sum of money from the shop in order to make good the loss sustained through gambling. After dismissal, he lived in his fiancee's home just next door. Several days before his suicide, he was asked by the girl's parents to marry their daughter since the time specified for such an event was approaching. He could not do so on account of financial difficulties and was alleged to have lured h sweetheart to the hotel where they ended it all by taking their own lives. Moved by their affection towards each other, their relatives are fixing a date for their posthumous marriage.
