Miss Laura Ingalls Aims At 5,000 Miles

New York, May 28.

Miss Laura Ingalls, holder of the women's non-stop flight record across America, will soon attempt a 5,000 mile non-stop flight in an attempt to break the men's and women's nonstop solo distance record. The take-off will be from some point in the Middle West, but Miss Ingalls has refused to discuss her proposed destination. i The men's solo non-stop distance record was set by the late Wiley Post, at 3942 miles, in a New York-Berlin hop. Three Russian women fying solo set a women's record last year in a fight of approximately 3,700 miles from Moscow to a small Siberian town.—Reuter,
