Winsome Army Reform

No comment on the future of the actress, who has been "attached" to a Territorial regiment as mascot, has hit the nail on the head. It is obvious to any old soldier with imagination that the dear girl's main duty will be to take curtain calls for recruits.

At the end of a parade she will advance ten paces, curtsy smartly, and say:—"We are very proud to be here today. We feel it is a great pleasure and privilege to have given you this performance. We only hope you enjoyed it, From our hearts we thank you.

Thereupon the Regimental Sergeant-Major will extend a bouquet to the full length of his right arm, where it will be grasped firmly by the actress, who will place it in her bouquet pouch.

The actress will then curtsy finally in a t and soldierlike fashion. The R.S.M, will stroke his moustache, employing a brisk, horizontal stroking motion, not more than ce inches in extent, to each side.

And the parade will dismiss, smiling humbly.
