"Tickets Please" reads the white inscription on green containers that have been affixed to telephone poles near tram and bus stops in the Into national Settlement during the past few days. The boxes are abou, 10 by 10 in, and have a slot which passengers are being induced to use for their tram and bus tickets when alighting from the vehicles The boxes were understood t0 have been put up by the Public Works Department of the Shanghai Municipal Council, in an endeavour to keep the streets cleaner.
