"New York Times" Hits German Aggression in Scathing Condemnation New York, Apr. 9.
The German invasion of Denmark is condemned in strong terms in a special edition of the "New York Times." "Without any more warning than Herr Hitler has given his previous victims, and without a shadow of justification except that of brute force, Denmark, another free nation, was murdered' in cold blood this morning," says the newspaper.
"Another free nation whose only crime was to live at peace with its neighbours," the journal adds, "has been offered as a sacrifice to one man's glut for power. The German name is thus blackened once more with the record of an indelible crime.—Reuter.
