Two Japanese subjects were the victims of a robber gang last night while travelling in rickshaws in the Louza district. A large gang of 38 Chinese waylaid the two men in uns iF beet tS atled Ningpo Road, near Fokien Road and made off with one wallet containing ¥.9.20. No arrests were made.
In an earlier robbery at 407 Lay Road eight Chinese, four of whom were armed with pistols, intimidated the 24 inmates of the house and decamped with money and jewellery totalling $310.
