To-day's Programme The Hun:

What a Hollander Wrote To the Editor of the 130-120 Chinese Programme with News Broadcasts at 745 and 1109.

Chinese lesson from 815 to 845 12.10 Indian Programme 1230 Masters of the Bow 1245 News in English 100 News in Chinese "Nortu-Cutwa Dany NEWS" ter to you in your issue of last Monday, I was reminded of an old Netherlands poem which I think is not only very true in describing the character-istles of the "Huns" but above all it is so significant because it was written over 300 years ago.

The author was Jacob Cats Netherlands poet and humourist, li ing in the seventeenth century, 1577- 1660.

I think it is too good not to be published at this moment, so here it is. translated into English:

When the Hun is poor and down, He's the humblest man in town.

But once he climbs and holds the rod, He smites his fellow men—and God.
