After scoring a sweeping success in the Men's Doubles competition the "Flying Shuttles," the crack Chinese team, are all primed to defend their title this season. In addition, they have been able to raise a mixed inst doubles side, which, considering the strength of their men players, should be a formidable aggregation.
After an idle session of a year, the Clube Lusitano will be seen in action again. It may be recalled that they were unable to take part in the past league as their club house was torn down. Their new building, however, has been completed and with new badminton courts at their disposal, they will be in the thick of the competition this year.
In the meantime, the Cercle Sportif Francais, the Country Club and the Sokols have all stated that they will be able to raise teams. There is also a possibility of the Association Sportive Francaise joining the league play. At present, there appears to be only one doubtful club, this being the Union Church, but it is likely that they will get together a side as they have always been able to do in the past.
For the new season, the following will be serving on the Executive Committee:—
President:—E. S. Barraclough, Vice-President:—A. C. Mei: lease.
